YGLN program at Elite high school on 11th of June 2021
YGLN-SSD successfully conducted essay writing, debate competition and career guidance at Elite High school in sherikat on the 11th of June 2021. This program aimed to identify and empower young writers who are passionate about writing and aspires to improve their writing skills. Winners of different categories were awarded prizes which included cash and scholastic items e.g., counter books, notebooks, files, pens, drawing boards, rulers, and mathematical sets. The program was funded by the members of YGLN-SSD through their individual contributions.
event at Terekeka County on 09th of July 2021
YGLN-SSD participated in youth development fund workshop organized by the ministry of youth, culture, and sports in collaboration with the national youth Union and Okay Africa Foundation.
YGLN-SSD organized series of get-together programs; on the 9th July it organized a youth get-together event in Terekeka County to celebrate the 10th anniversary of South Sudan’s Independence. The event falls under thematic area of peace building. It was intended to bring young South Sudanese together and share innovative ideas and the role of youth in peace building and to become peace agents in their communities.
youth tour to Luri County on 22nd July 2021
On 22nd July 2021, YGLN-SSD organized an exposure visit of youth to Luri. Still aimed at bringing young people together. The event gave young people an opportunity to interact and participate in sport activities like volley ball, bike riding and many more given the fact that sport globally has been recognized for fostering cohesion and unity.
charity program at Juba Orphanage Centre 14th August 2021
YGLN Commemorated the International Youth Day on 14th August 2021 by conducting charity program at Juba Orphanage Centre. The members donated food items and organized stories telling session, music and dance and counselling to the orphanages.

On 20TH September 2021, we partnered with Writers Writing Fellowship and launched “Loyal Voices Project”. The core objective of this noble event and partnership was to empower the young South Sudanese models who want to use arts and our rich cultural diversity, folklores to bring change in the society.
